Owing to lack of operational chemical manufacturing companies, the target of membership for the year 2018 is set at 75.
Six trainings on process and productivity improvements and on best practices would be planned and executed to build capacity of the member companies including trainings in Responsible Care Initiative. If TNA suggested and ownership of the members remained high, efforts would be made to increase the number to Eight.
Industry – Academia linkage would be strengthened and 03 projects in Research & Development activities would be identified for implementation in coordination with Academia, Partners as well as PCMA members.
Coordination with International Organizations will be improved to introduce PCMA and bring in the best practices and innovative projects; If members agreed atleast one delegation would be launched to attend any suitable international event.
PCMA Annual Forum 2018 will be planned, organized and held in Sep/Oct 2018 at Islamabad
At least Four EC meetings and one AGM would be held during the year 2018
Elections of office bearers will be organized and held for 2018 (July-Sep 2018)
Work on Pakistan Chemical Vision to be initiated as an on-going task. Partner or Consulting Company may be identified for outsourcing the work as advised in EC
Creation of PCMA members’ Data Base and Members’ Directory;
Initiation of request for creating a stand-alone chemical council in Govt of Pakistan;
Regular liaison with Chemical Regulatory Bodies including FBR, NTC, Excise & Customs Karachi, ministry of Commerce, ministry of Industries, m/o Petroleum, Planning Commission; etc
Continue working/lobbying on Naphtha Cracker Complex project by mobilizing investors, partners and stakeholders
Ensure publishing of regular PCMA News in Newspapers
Up-load 10 prefeasibilities of potential projects for SEMs on pcma’s website for attracting new investments and substituting chemical imports.
Start PCMAs’ Magazine and ensure its number atleast Two in 2018.
